Niaouli

        Melaleuca viridiflora, native to Australia, yields a steam distilled essential oil from the leaves and twigs. Known as “White Tea tree” it holds great strength which is known to activate healing. With a lighter scent than Tea Tree it certainly indicates its purposefulness when inhaled. The scent is clear and crisp and alerting. It opens the olfactory awareness to its many beneficial qualities as it travels through the body systems.  Diffusing this essential oil is especially helpful with colds, flu and bronchial ailments. 

There are numerous properties that assist the biological body in healing. Niaouli is useful as an analgesic, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic, bactericidal, decongestant, expectorant, febrifuge, insecticide, stimulant, vermifuge and vulnerary substance. Adding this to a first aid blend is very effective and a great replacement for the rather harsh scent of Tea Tree. This is a great addition to the first aid cabinet.
